parents/caregivers

This program has not only been created for your young adult, it has also been created for YOU!  We understand how tired you as a parent/caregiver feels at the end of a day, attempting to assist your young adult with finding employment, applying for Social Security, looking for housing, or learning how to manage their anger or frustration,  or varied mental health symptoms, especially when they desire to be independent and you feel as if you have done everything you can and more to help them become a self-sufficient young adult.

Whether you're young adult has recently been diagnosed with a chronic mental illness or you've known from childhood or early adolescence that they were having such difficulties, we have tools and resources for you.

We have a list of community resources available should you need such to further assist your young adult in finding housing, employment, or medical/dental needs, clothes, food, or make application for social security.

We also have various training materials that you can provide to your young adult or review with them. These materials cover everything from understanding Bipolar Disorder to managing Anxiety or working on communication skills, to name a few.

Further, we have individuals with whom you can speak, by phone or appointment that will offer you support, insight and assistance in preparing your young adult for their future. Just call (214) 949-0171 and someone will be available to assist you!
